Loudon Wainwright III (born September 5, 1946 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina) is an American songwriter, folk singer, humorist, and actor.

Biography
He is better known to the general public for the 1972 novelty song hit "Dead Skunk (in the Middle of the Road)", & for swimming "the Singing Surgeon" on tierce episodes of the U.s. television indicate M*A*S*H in 1975, but his musical reputation is lot deeper. Utilizing the witty, self-mocking style & unusual, high-high voice, Waggonwright has manufactured the total of albums, deuce of which were nominated for Grammy awards. He as well appeared in the picture show The Aviator and the Neil Simon picture "The Slugger's Wife".
